This is the autobiography of Malala Yousafzai and The Story of the Girl Who Stood Up for Education and was Shot by the Taliban. Malala is a Pakistani activist for female education and a Nobel Peace Prize winner. In 2009, at age 11, many people were introduced to her and her life under Taliban rule through a weblog of the BBC News’ Urdu language service. On 9 October 2012, Malala was a victim of an attack by the Taliban. Her advocacy work has now grown into an international movement.
