The Queen is a British drama which portrays the life of Queen Elizabeth II during a difficult time in recent British history. In 1997 Tony Blair’s Labour Government had just won an election, ending 18 years of Conservative rule. Three months later, Diana Princess of Wales suddenly and tragically died in a car accident. This is a very well-made and interesting look at the private and public life of the Queen of England.
